Dover vs. Phila
The visiting Dover Tornadoes beat the New Philadelphia Quakers 30-7 during their 104th rivalry game held Friday night in Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium at New Philadelphia.But all was not lost for the Quakers. New Philadelphia crushed Dover during their 11th annual Blood Battle held Wednesday in the Monroe Center at New Philadelphia. The Quakers made 118 blood donations, 11 more than the Tornadoes. It was New Philadelphia’s second consecutive win.New Philadelphia may have another chance to show Dover what their football team can do during the playoffs. Once official rankings are announced today, the Quakers most likely will end up battling the Tornadoes Saturday night in Crater Stadium at Dover.
